I’ve been taking photographs for 60 years.

As an artist, designer and photographer, I have the visual and technical skills to achieve results efficiently. My career in small business marketing required me to write, design, photograph and produce all types of marketing materials. I can work independently, take direction, or both.

My older brother became a photo journalist when he was 15. I used to tag along with him when he went to his job’s dark room at the local newspaper to develop film and print photographs. A few years later, I attended UT and set up my own dark room in my bathroom and printed my first photographs.

My father was an artist and designer who taught me a great deal about design, composition and the importance of quality. “When you think you are good enough, you’re as good as you’ll ever be.” He painted signs for a living, something I also did many years ago as I learned to become an oil painter of people, places and things in a realistic style. I love taking photographs. I love combining the right light, a great subject, and knowing just when to click the shutter button to create a great image. I love perfecting the photos with the great software tools and my deep experience in using them along with my “hand” skills as a painter.
